Sustainable Event Design: Thoughtful Events, Stronger Communities, A Greener Future

At MC&A, we believe that exceptional experiences should leave a lasting impact—on people, not the planet. That’s why sustainability is woven into the way we design events, collaborate with partners, and leave a positive impact on the destinations we serve.
How MC&A Designs Sustainable Events
Every detail matters when it comes to reducing our environmental footprint, which is why we align with supplier partners who share our commitment to sustainability.
Venue Selection
We seek out LEED-certified venues and tour facilities that prioritize energy efficiency and responsible building practices.
Catering
Our catering partners craft menus with biodiverse, locally sourced ingredients, ensuring that every bite supports regional farmers and reduces emissions from long-distance food transport. And when the event is over, they don’t let good food go to waste—excess meals are donated to local shelters, feeding communities instead of landfills.
Rental & Floral Partners
The impact continues with our rental partners, who champion upcycled and sustainable materials, and floral teams that give event blooms a second life by repurposing them for hospitals, nursing homes, and community spaces.
Technology
Technology plays a crucial role in reducing our footprint, too. For example, our A/V partners employ energy-efficient LED lighting, minimizing power consumption without compromising the visual spectacle of an event.
Organizational-Level Sustainability Commitment
As part of the JTB Group’s Sustainability Commitment, we’re proud to be part of a global network dedicated to responsible travel and environmental stewardship. By weaving sustainability into our culture, we’re not only reducing our footprint, we’re also strengthening the communities where we live, work, and create extraordinary experiences.
The Brighter Earth Project
Sustainability isn’t just something we encourage in our partners—it’s a core value that we embrace within our own operations. The JTB Brighter Earth Project brings employees together for regional in-person gatherings held several times throughout the year.
The event offers team members a unique opportunity to make a positive and lasting impact by engaging in local initiatives like community clean-up efforts that restore beaches, parks, and public spaces, and fruit and vegetable harvesting for local food banks.
Through these hands-on experiences, participants not only contribute to meaningful causes but also strengthen their connections with each other and the environment around them.
For us, sustainability isn’t just a trend—it’s a responsibility.
